Department  :            Design of Experiment

Responsibilities:

  • To provide accurate reader QST / Mag. Test data feedback to design group in a timely fashion.
  • Review WDF SBR - DOE evaluation requests interns of  design matrix, test requests and extended test requirement  etc.
  • Prepare the DOE execution plan /characterization plan at WDB for the DOE Evaluation.
  • Generate sound sampling plans for DOE evaluations to identify the expected design improvements accurately.
  • Communicate with Design engineer  to clarify  and finalize the characterization plan.
  • Define test set up for Reader/Writer DOE Evaluations at QST and  Magtest.
  • Ensure the data integrity of the test data collected for the  DOE evaluations.
  • Review and publish Prelim/Interim DOE reports  in timely manner in one day cycletime.
  • Prepare and submit parts for reliability based on the prelim results of the evaluation.

Department  :            Failure Analysis

Responsibilities:

  • To analyze and perform in-depth Characterization of Reliability/Line failures and find the root cause of failure within agreed time-line.

Requirements:

  • B.S, M.S or PhD (experience: minimum of 8 years with B.S, 5 years with M.S. and 3 years with Ph.D.)
  • Solid basic magnetic head skills in the areas QST/ DET and Head/Media related physical analysis for TuMR/PMR heads and PMR media Integration.
  • Hands on expertise in analytical tools such as SEM, EDAX, AFM, FIB and TEM.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, using  statistical software such as JMP/ SAS/ Minitab is required

Position       : Staff Engineer
Department : WDB Product Engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Review and comprehension of Product performance especially Slider QST and HGA MT
  • Sustain and improve HVM programs
  • Establish new products
  • Interface with H.S.A/Drive team on technical and quality matters
  • Interface with design engineer and wafer fabricated engineer
  • Support manufacturing works

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • 7 years prior related experience.
  • Disk drive basic
  • SF, HGA process
  • Statistical Process Control and analysis
  • BQST, Magnetic test
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Good technical/analytical/statistical skill.
  • Computer skill
  • Problem solving / failure analysis skill
